Pure Joy isn’t just the name of my company, it’s a philosophy – it’s the way we operate. Attitude reflects leadership and I am madly in love with catering. Everyone here is too. We love what we do and it shows. At Pure Joy we don’t do jobs we do what we love; creating spectacular events, making exceptional and delicious food, and making our clients and their guests really happy.

I am Lynette La Mere, the Executive Chef and Owner with over thirty years of experience in the culinary arts, specifically as an off premise catering specialist, I've done thousands of events. Invited Members of the exclusive Leading Caterers of America and Style Me Pretty's Little Black Book of Preferred Vendors, Pure Joy was ranked #2 of the top 20 Woman Owned Businesses in the Tri County Area; I am also the proud recipient of the Top 50 Woman in Business Award, featured in the Wall Street Journal, and quoted in national Bride's Magazines on trends for weddings and many local news paper articles. Pure Joy is a Certified Farm Friendly Dining provider. Voted Best Caterer by the local reader's of the News Press year after year. We were voted the #1 Wedding Planners by readers of the Independent and Best Caterer in Central California for the last 3 years by brides on the Knot "Best Of".  Independent voters chose Pure Joy as Santa Barbara's #1 Caterer this year and have since 2007, we also receive the Bride's Choice Award from Wedding Wire.

We own the land we've built our event planning facility on; we're here to stay & business is better than ever. Our commercial kitchen, offices, and huge warehouse of décor equipment allow our planning team and culinary staff to work closely together on the custom creation of each Pure Joy event.

Dear Patrick, Mike and the Pure Joy Team,
We wanted to write and give you the biggest thank you ever for making our wedding simply amazing. Throughout the whole planning process, you listened so carefully to us and accommodated our wishes in every way – from the vegetarian menu requests to the meetings to discuss our vision for a rustic, vineyard style. When our wedding day came, we were blown away to see everything put together. Your touches everywhere made it rustic yet elegant, just as we had hoped, but it was even better than we had imagined! The entire night, from start to end, was seamless and smooth and you guys had every detail – big and small – taken care of. And last, but certainly not least, I must comment on the food. People are still talking about how good it was! You prepared a gourmet feast that was delicious and cooked perfectly (the raviolis and steak, yum!), and we and our guests couldn’t have been happier, it was even better than the tasting!
