Pure Joy isn’t just the name of my company, it’s a philosophy – it’s the way we operate. Attitude reflects leadership and I am madly in love with catering. Everyone here is too. We love what we do and it shows. At Pure Joy we don’t do jobs we do what we love; creating spectacular events, making exceptional and delicious food, and making our clients and their guests really happy.

I am Lynette La Mere, the Executive Chef and Owner with over thirty years of experience in the culinary arts, specifically as an off premise catering specialist, I've done thousands of events. Pure Joy was named one of the top 25 Woman Owned Businesses in the Tri County Area; I am also the proud recipient of the Top 50 Woman in Business Award, featured in the Wall Street Journal, and quoted in national Bride's Magazines on trends for weddings and many local news paper articles. We just won a spot on California Wedding Day Best of 2014 Wedding Vendors for California Central Coast, in 13' Santa Barbara Magazine's Best of Issue had only one Full Service Caterer listed; Pure Joy Catering and one resource for local venues...ours :)

Pure Joy is a Certified Farm Friendly Dining provider. Voted Best Caterer by the local reader's of the News Press year after year. We were voted the #1 Wedding Planners by readers of the Independent and Best Caterer in Central California for the last 3 years by brides on the Knot "Best Of".  Independent voters chose Pure Joy as Santa Barbara's #1 Caterer this year and have since 2007, we also receive the Bride's Choice Award from Wedding Wire.

We own the land we've built our event planning facility on; we're here to stay & business is better than ever. Our commercial kitchen, offices, and huge warehouse of décor equipment allow our planning team and culinary staff to work closely together on the custom creation of each Pure Joy event.

Dear Alizabeth,

Oh my gosh – I woke this morning and realized I had not formally thanked you for the extraordinary evening that we had. I am truly sorry – I guess it has taken me longer to recover from all the festivities than I realized.

We wanted to thank you and all of the staff from Pure Joy who made our rehearsal dinner such a wonderful event. Each member of the staff were so thoughtful, observant, in-tune with the flow of the evening, that I never had to wonder if we were on track or if something needed to be done. The food was amazing, and enjoyed by all. The favorite appetizer was the tomato soup with grilled cheese, although the pesto sauce with the tri tip skewers is a very close second. The buffet was beautifully set up and created lots of comments about both the display and the quality of the food. Sometimes the smallest touch creates an impression and that was true with the simple act of tucking a small lavender flower into each napkin. And the warm cobbler – very yummy.

The staff was courteous, experienced, very service oriented without being intrusive. And I believe that the clean up left everything as clean as when they arrived.

I look forward to another event as you all made it so easy, beautiful, memorable and tasty.
